George Maloof Jr.


George J. Maloof, Jr. was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1964. He graduated the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a Bachelors degree in Hotel Administration in 1988. Upon graduation, Maloof has been responsible for the operations, development and expansion of a chain of hotels across the Southwest, including the Central Palace Casino in Central City, Colorado; the Fiesta Casino Hotel in North Las Vegas, Nevada; the Palms Casino Resort and Palms Place, a luxurious condominium project in Las Vegas. He entered the Las Vegas gaming market in 1994 when the Fiesta Casino hotel opened in the northwest area of the city. His vision helped him brand the highly popular and successful Fiesta in a competitive local market. Maloof’s vision of entertainment excellence was further realized when he opened the doors to the Palms Casino Resort, arguably one of the most cutting-edge and value-oriented entertainment destinations in the world. He continues to use his vast resources to improve the lives and education of his community members, including the Clark County Schools.
