Tamara Tunie


Tamara Tunie is in her tenth season as Melinda Warner on NBC’s top-rated series “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.” Tunie has had other memorable roles on television, most notably as the longstanding character Jessica Griffin on “As The World Turns” for which she received two NAACP Image Award nominations and two Soap Opera Digest Award nominations. She also appeared in the highly visible role of Alberta Green in season one of the hit series “24.” Tunie has appeared on screen with some of the biggest names in Hollywood, as her film credits include “The Devil’s Advocate” and “Eve’s Bayou.”
Last summer, Tunie went behind the camera producing and directing her first feature film entitled “See You In September.” In addition to TV and film, Tunie has been involved in many Broadway shows as both an actor and producer, including a starring role with Denzel Washington in Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar.”
Tunie sits on the boards of numerous charities and was awarded the prestigious “Made in New York Award” from Mayor Bloomberg and the City of New York for her support and commitment to Film, Television and Theater in Manhattan.
